Pleasure and Pain

Wow.

Just sent out my first newsletter (to the aforementioned 7 subscribers on my newsletter list). Let’s just be kind and say it was a “learning experience.” While I do appreciate services like Mail Chimp offering services for free, I wish it understood that when you give a customer no support with your “free” option, you might add some value by creating easily located walk-throughs and simply instructions so folks lie me can fancy up some cool piece of correspondence for our peeps!

But it’s done now – and it looks really good if I do say so myself! So for all the pain of crawling through the build process for the newsletter, I’m hoping for some pleasurable responses!  I’ll add the link below so you can check it out and, hopefully, subscribe.

I don’t have a whole lot else to blog about today. The last forty-eight hours have been a busy blur as I’ve navigated the details of trying to achieve a smooth book (re)launch. Few bumps in the road for a a newbie like myself, so I’m thankful. I’ve received confirmation that Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple iBooks, Google Play, and Kobo have received and uploaded the digital files, and the print versions won’t be far away from that! If you’re looking for a print copy (paperback or hardcover), best to check out Amazon for a couple of weeks. I don’t know how quickly Ingram gets their retailers uploaded with the print listings.

I’d love to see my subscriber list grow, though that won’t stop the blogging. I include some fun extras in there, including advertising a fellow author’s book in each issue. You should check it out!

For now, I’m sure you can tell my energy level is zapped. I need to shut things down. Acknowledge my family – especially my confused canines who feel I’ve abandoned them though they’re right here beside me.

Until next time, keep smiling!

Oh – and here’s the newsletter link. (Yikes!) Heather’s first newsletter attempt.
